Al Ahly’s football first team delegation in Niger will undergo a COVID-19 on Friday ahead of the team’s game against Union Sportive de la Gendarmerie Nationale (USGN).
Friday’s COVID-19 test comes as part of the medical precautionary and preventive measures that are set by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to combat the spread of the virus.
Ahmed Abu Abla, head of Al Ahly’s medical staff, revealed that the team underwent a COVID-19 test before their trip to Niger on Wednesday and that all the results turned out to be negative.
The Red Eagles will face USGN in the first leg of the CAF Champions League round of 32 on Saturday at 5:30 PM, Cairo time, at Stade Général Seyni Kountché in Niamey.
